My first week at Lil’ Quills I observed that the children really enjoy their outdoor playtime. When Denika says, “Its time to get ready to go outside!” the children usually rush to get ready and go line up by the backyard door. This eagerness is an indication that they are ready to go out play and learn! The children are very capable of getting themselves ready on their own minus shoe lace tying . Developmentally the children are doing great.
While out in the centers yard Denika found a root bug while weeding the yard. She lets the children know what she found and asked if they would like to see it? Leeland and Olivia came over to see what Denika found. Olivia was curious, yet cautious. Olivia peers down at the ground and looks. Leeland on the other hand was stoked about it and got down on the ground with Denika with enthusiasm.
