Tis the 2nd week of practicum at Cayoosh elementary. Was a long weekend due to the Easter holiday . The first and second week of practicum were 4 day school weeks . Some of the children benefitted from the 4 day long weekend. While many others could of used more rest and relaxing . It was still morning shift for the childcare program at Cayoosh. My job in the morning program is to put out the available cereals or serve them, instant oatmeal, and nutrigrain bars, and turn on the kettle for the oatmeal . Ol

Sarah was doing toilet paper crafts with the children , so i decided to try build on the toilet paper roll craft and do a community roll craft and try to elaborate in Meaningful conversation in the pathways of engaging with communication and literacy . I asked the children if they knew of any community roles? While trying converse about roles right here in our community of Lillooet I struggled to keep the connection and the conversation alive. So unknowingly that it seemed like a good idea to me, yet the children’s inactive responses and going to do their own thing seemed to be their mission. My print outs stayed on the table untouched and unused.
